A “Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop” will be held Friday, March 14, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the Johnson County Extension, 3109 Old Hwy. 218 S., Iowa City. This free program is presented by Iowa State University Horticulture Specialist Patrick O’Malley. Participants will learn best practices and techniques for pruning and training fruit-bearing trees for peak performance. A live demonstration utilizing apple and plum trees growing in a nearby garden will be trimmed. Interactive participation is welcomed. Register here.
