Johnson County Master Gardeners Community Speaker Series 2025 kicks off in March with three presentations focusing on building soil health, prairie restoration, and pollinators. The series is set for Sunday, March 2, from 1-4:30 p.m., in the Johnson County Extension conference room.
Presenters include Hillary Olson, Soil Health Specialist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Iowa, and Jeremy “JD” Hollingsworth, NRCS Soil Health Specialist for southeast Iowa; Mike Fallon, University of Iowa adjunct professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences; and August “Augie” Bergstrom, station manager at the Monarch Research Project in Marion.
The JCMG program is free and open to the public. MGs can earn continuing education hours by attending this program. The program is free and open to the community.
